Export win demonstrates growing demand for combat-proven Roshel vehicles and confirms Roshel’s position as a global exporter and trusted defence supplier.
BRAMPTON, Ontario, June 30, 2026 – Roshel has been awarded a contract, funded by the European Peace Facility and facilitated by Estonian Centre for Defence Investments, to supply more than 100 Canadian-built vehicles to the National Army of the Republic of Moldova.
The contract signifies a major achievement for Canadian defence exports and highlights the growing international demand for Canadian-made protected mobility platforms. As Canada refocuses on defence industrial capacity, sovereign manufacturing, and export growth, Roshel’s success in partner markets shows how Canadian companies can deliver operationally proven capabilities while supporting local jobs, supply chains, and advanced manufacturing at home.
“This is a significant win for Roshel, and we are grateful for the support of the Government of Canada, particularly the Honourable Maninder Sidhu, Canada’s Minister of International Trade, the Honourable David McGuinty, Minister of National Defence, Canada’s Ambassador in Moldova, Gavin Buchan and the team at the Trade Commissioner Services – whose work helps Canadian companies pursue opportunities in international markets and strengthen Canada’s presence as a reliable global partner,” stated Roman Shimonov, Founder and CEO of Roshel.
Built in Canada and combat-proven through the deployment of more than 2,500 vehicles in Ukraine alone, Roshel is proud to have been selected by allied governments worldwide as a best-in-class armoured vehicle manufacturer contributing to broader efforts to strengthen resilience, mobility, and interoperability among countries aligned with Canadian and European security objectives.
This contract embodies the industrial goals outlined in Canada’s Defence Industrial Strategy: transforming domestic manufacturing strength into operational capability, growing Canada’s defence export sector, and ensuring Canadian innovation supports both national prosperity and international security.
Roshel’s export growth is also helping support the company’s plans to invest more here at home, including efforts to bring ballistic steel production to Canada. By turning demand from other countries into new jobs, production, and investment at home, Roshel is helping build the Canadian supply chains needed to make armoured vehicles and other protected mobility solutions. These investments will also put Roshel in a stronger position to support the Government of Canada’s future vehicle needs with Canadian-made vehicles and key materials produced here at home.
